The movement in the PAM 320 is the P9001 caliber, designed and made entirely inhouse by Panerai. Although not COSC certified, the movement is very accurate, well within . I prefer 312 rather than 359 because of crystal clarity and reflection and because of lume. These 312/320/329 have indeed excellent lume. And this is not my best lume pic.
Go 233 over 312 all day every day. I felt the case on the 312 is too tall and top heavy and the 233 has all the right functions and complication for everyday use. I like the all-polished case and arabics of the 359, the Ti and tobacco and gold hands of the 351, and the clean lines of the 312. If I really had to choose, 351, but ask me in .
