Does anyone know of Tudor has fixed the quality control issues the first runs of the pelagos 39 seemed to have?
As for the Lume it’s great with no issues. A modern tool/diver watch should have lumed bezel numbers in this day. As for the FXD, if James Bond was to pick a modern dive watch today it . The P39 had initial issues with the intensity of the lume on the hands being less than the hour markers and very few issues with the appliques on the dial being misaligned. I .
I'd say the lume issue is not enough to justify not picking one up (unless you have a serious, real-world use case or need for it), especially because Tudor will probably figure out .Everyone is pretty much aware the P39 has weaker lume on the hands compared to the indices and bezel. Has anyone gotten this corrected via warranty service.
My Pelagos 39 is great but the hands have very weak lume. I’ve compared it to my omega speedmaster and my Tudor gmt and it’s obvious the hands do not pick up light as well. The . Rolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum > Rolex & Tudor Watch Topics > Rolex General Discussion: Pelagos 39 lume I bought a Pelagos 39 some weeks ago, and just recently discovered two "minor" quality issues. I tried taking some pictures, I think it can be seen quite well there. Both issues . My 2018 Pelagos, of which I am NOT the original buyer, has suffered the disappointing loss of its 5 minute lume marker from the bezel. I’ve read about this before, so .
Announced to no small amount of fanfare last year, the Tudor Pelagos 39 bends a generalist, everyday sports watch towards the insect-like specialization of the Pelagos lineup – .
The Tudor Pelagos 39 is powered by an in-house-made Manufacture Calibre MT5400 movement. Also found in the Black Bay 58, the MT5400 is a COSC-certified automatic self-winding motor that ticks at . Well played but Tudor has had quality control issues year after year. It’s pretty disappointing that you had to wait 6 weeks for a new bezel. I had a similar experience awaiting repair of the date wheel issue on my BB GMT and a lume pip issue on my BB58. Tudors are hardly the bargain they once were.. PELAGOS 39. The Pelagos 39 model joins the TUDOR family of technical divers' watches, with a versatile, complementary design. While the Pelagos, Pelagos LHD and Pelagos FXD models perpetuate a purely technical aquatic heritage, offering functions specific to highly specialised and relatively niche professional dives, Pelagos 39 is a compact and versatile, traditional .
Many of us (myself included) thought that perhaps Tudor had made a change to the bezel which "fixed" the issue of lume falling out. Here is my 5-month-old Pelagos LHD with a 14,xxx number purchased from an AD in June 2022. You'll notice there lume is now missing from the 5 Minute Mark on the bezel. My Pelagos 39’s hands lume is also weaker than the hour markers. It doesn’t quite bother me as I don’t find much need for lumes where I am. . But if Tudor acknowledge this as design issue and offer replacement, I would send mine in. Save Share. Like. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old . The other day someone remarked in one of the Pelagos threads that they didn't like the lume on the Pelagos, thought it was overdone and made the watch look like a toy at night. . in particular that I do not share! I think the quality, brightness and longevity of the luminous dial and bezel on the Tudor Pelagos is among the very best out there . As good a watch as the Pelagos 39 is, it does bring the Pelagos (pronounced Pel agos, not Pel agos, btw) in general to a bit of a crossroads in regards to its identity. Taking a step back, this is a move that very much falls in line with Tudor’s broader gameplan, from my point of .
I recently picked up the new Pelagos 39 and I absolutely love it. It's not perfect but probably the strongest Tudor offering in a long time. . The other issue I noticed is that the lume on the hands does not charge as quickly/easily as the the markers (which being solid lume are insane!). . It is essentially a refreshed version of the 70s .Two lume markers fell out. Sent it through and AD back to Tudor for warranty work. 4 months later I finally get my watch back.. Bezel doesn’t feel quite right. Within 4 days the bezel falls off the watch. Send it back to the AD and they send it back to Tudor. Another 3 months goes by. Tudor mails my watch back to AD. I had the Pelagos 39 briefly last year and I currently have the Monochrome (posted my review of it here: Tudor Black Bay 41 ‘Monochrome’ – Beans & Bezels), and I'd go with the Monochrome. With the Pelagos 39, the discrepency in potency between the lume on the hands and on the lumicast indices bothered me enough to move it on pretty quick.

I bought a Pelagos 39 some weeks ago, and just recently discovered two "minor" quality issues. The lume on the minutes hand has a “dark” (or rather white) spot on the top The lume of the index at 6 hast a dark line in the middle I tried taking some pictures, I think it can be seen quite well there. Both issues can be seen by eye - and since . The Tudor Pelagos 39 addresses these issues, and Tudor hopes to capture a broader consumer base at the expense of a few modifications. . just sit on top of the dial and provide an interesting method for giving the watch depth while increasing the overall lume surface area. Tudor Pelagos 39. One feature that is lost, however, from the larger . I had the Pelagos 39 and there are two issues: 1. noticibly stronger lume on the markets/weaker lume on the hands. 2. Right tolerances on the clasp where the T Fit slides along (essentially scrapes the top part of the link) Some people have also noted that the clasp shield point was too sharp and cut themselves. _____ Does anyone know of Tudor has fixed the quality control issues the first runs of the pelagos 39 seemed to have?
As for the Lume it’s great with no issues. A modern tool/diver watch should have lumed bezel numbers in this day. As for the FXD, if James Bond was to pick a modern dive watch today it would be a Tudor FXD, as it works well under water. The P39 had initial issues with the intensity of the lume on the hands being less than the hour markers and very few issues with the appliques on the dial being misaligned. I understand that all issues have been resolved. I'd say the lume issue is not enough to justify not picking one up (unless you have a serious, real-world use case or need for it), especially because Tudor will probably figure out in the future and have a way to replace the hands.
He goes swimming; he gets home and calls me to inform me that 3 lume markers on the bezel fell off. I'm sending it in for warranty repair, but that's not the quality I'd expect from a storied brand like Tudor. The other issue I noticed is that the lume on the hands does not charge as quickly/easily as the the markers (which being solid lume are insane!). So if not using a UV torch but in normal use, it can appear that the hands have dimmer lume than the markers/bezel. Everyone is pretty much aware the P39 has weaker lume on the hands compared to the indices and bezel. Has anyone gotten this corrected via warranty service.
I returned my first P39 due to patchy lume on the hour hand. The replacement watch has weak lume on the hands ds but at least its uniform. I would expect much better from Tudor though. My Pelagos 39 is great but the hands have very weak lume. I’ve compared it to my omega speedmaster and my Tudor gmt and it’s obvious the hands do not pick up light as well. The markers and bezel are fine, it’s just the hands.
